    Audio software

I have some mp3 and mp4 videos where the audio has a lot of high frequency background noise which I'd like to try to filter. Any suggestions.

I know another route would be a good sound card. Feel free to make any suggestions here too.

I am using Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS.

Audacity may be able to help. You'll have to try it. I have used it many times for the same issue. Let me make one very BIG suggestion: make a new folder and copy the files into that folder to experiment on. That way, if you screw up or something else happens, your original ones will still be intact.

It will take a little experimenting. As I already stated, I have used Audacity to clean up a lot of old tapes and records. But there is a learning curve.

As a amateur music producter who using Ubuntu,it seems like you can change your sound card settings to avoid noisng. What's more, would you like using Jack(Jack Audio Connect Kit) and cadence(via kxstudio PPA)?
